An Eagle Unchained

James R. Olson

"A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." Thomas Jefferson.

America's government is out of control - an insatiable monster devouring our resources and our freedoms. Millions are unemployed as the middle class is fast slipping into poverty, leaving only two social groups; those dependent on government handouts and those bled dry to pay for social programs.

Only one man has the courage to stand against the establishment. Read More

The Vagabond Healer
James R. Olson

"Eddy Foster came into my life on one of those special days the mind treasured and kept forever. If I were able to go back into the past I doubt whether I would want to change a single moment of those magical events. Perhaps the joy and sorrow were meant to be just as they happened."

Sam Johnson narrates the story of a young vagabond possessing a gift for curing sickness with a single touch. However, when Eddy heals, he momentarily glimpses the inner recesses of a person's soul, penetrating their masks and exposing their deepest fears. Read More

An Award Winning Novel

In this award winning novel, James R. Olson tells the life story of Ulzana. It is not only the story of Ulzana's fierce and proud adventures; it is the story of the sacred mysteries of the Chiricahua Apaches, the life and death of an Indian tribe.

"Now all of the Chiricahua who fought so hard for their lands are dead. But if you walk through the deserts and mountains of Arizona and New Mexico you may still hear the sounds of their laughter and their weeping carried on the winds sweeping down from the heights. The mountains remember their dignity." Read More

Brother
James R. Olson

A novel of faith and courage. Brother Bernardo, a Spanish missionary to the desolate regions of New Spain, is captured by the Apaches. As a slave to the heathens, he loses his faith, then finds it again, deeper and stronger than before. Held captive by both the barrier of forbidding desert and the savage Indians, he learns to love and understand his captors. This is also the larger story of the confrontation between deep rooted beliefs, Christianity and the Apache culture.

Injun
James R. Olson

At the conclusion of the Indian Wars most of the defeated American Indians had no voice in what happened to them. All the tribes were herded onto reservations under the jurisdiction of the Indian Bureau. However, the Chiricahua Apaches-every man, woman, and child-were held as prisoners-of-war under the control of the Department of the Army. After twenty-six years as prisoners, first in Florida, then in Alabama, and finally at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, the War Department agreed to end their captivity in 1913. The surviving Chiricahua were given two options. They could join their cousins on the Mescalero Reservation in New Mexico or they could accept allotments of farm land in Oklahoma. Read More
